Track - "Want To
Live With You" |
Badlands: WANT TO
LIVE WITH YOU Single
(c) & (p) 1991 MMG Inc. Made in JAPAN.
This song was used in a commercial
advertisment for a Japanese Bank (Kiyoh Bank). The song received considerable
airtime in Japan on both radio and television. The bank
originally had no plans to make the song available on CD, but they
where so overwhelmed by requests for the song that they pressed a
limited amount of discs. The song was available FREE to customers over
the counter.
In 1991 Jake and Greg Chaisson where
invited to attended a Japanese "Instrumental Fair" by ESP,
during which Jake was interviewed by Music Life magazine reporter
Takehiko Maeda about the song. Jake said, "We (Badlands) did it for money. The 1st album didn't make
money at all, and I couldn't ask my parents for money, so we accepted
the offer from a friend (in Japan).".
The track was the kind of song that
they liked but couldn't do as Badlands. They enjoyed writing and
recording this song and Ray seemed to be especially proud of it. |
